The Stonelick Township Fire/EMS Department was established on May 1, 2006 from the former Owensville Fire Department. STFD provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. STFD is a combination department staffing both career and volunteer members.

STFD operates from two stations:

  • Station 1 is located at 2541 U.S 50. Station 1 operates with a minimum staffing of 2 personnel cross trained in firefighting and emergency medical services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Staffing is supplemented with volunteers and off duty career personnel. Station 1 is equipped with 2 rescue/engines, 1 brush fire unit, 1 tanker unit, 2 advance life support units, 1 EMS 1st responder unit, and 2 utility units.

  • Station 2 is located at 5750 Stonelick Williams Corner Rd, operates with volunteer and off duty career personnel, and is equipped with 1 engine, and 1 fire support unit.

Other services provided by STFD include, fire safety inspections, public fire education, CPR/1st Aid education, and the issuance of burn permits for the township. STFD works with The American Red Cross for distribution of smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and gun locks. STFD also works with Hoxworth Blood Center for blood drives in the township and with the Stonelick Township Firefighters Association in selling green reflective signs at cost for house and business addresses.
